Terms of service

Overview

This website and online English school are operated by Edita's English Hub AB, organisation number 559588-8768, with its registered business address at Docentvägen 461, 977 52 Luleå, Sweden. Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Edita's English Hub AB. Our school is hosted on Thinkific. We provide online English courses and digital learning materials (“Services”). Website: https://editasenglishhub.com. School: https://courses.editasenglishhub.com. Effective date: 7 October 2026.

These Terms govern use of our school and purchases of our Services. The product description, price, access period and subscription details shown before you order form part of your purchase contract. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights.

Please read these Terms before purchasing. You accept them at checkout, where the total price and recurring payment obligations are displayed. We send your purchase confirmation and contract information by email. Browsing the website alone does not create a payment obligation.

Changes to these Terms are handled as described in Section 19. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights under a purchase already made.

1 Website terms

Learners must be at least 16 years old, or meet any higher minimum required by applicable law. We do not accept learners under 16, including through a guardian’s account. The purchaser must be at least 18 and have reached the age of majority and legal capacity to enter this contract in their jurisdiction. For a learner aged 16 or over who is under 18 or otherwise below the applicable age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the learning account, make the purchase, accept these Terms and authorise participation. The learner uses that account for learning under the guardian’s supervision. Local child-privacy and consent requirements also apply.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.

If these Terms are breached, any suspension or termination will be handled under Section 16 and applicable law.

2 General conditions

We may refuse a new order for an objective lawful reason, such as suspected fraud, unavailable services or a legal restriction. This does not permit discrimination or remove rights under an existing contract.

Stripe handles payment details. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Course content is protected by intellectual property law. The subscription provides a personal, non-transferable licence for one named learner to access materials online during the access period. Books and lessons are online-only; no downloads are provided. You may not reproduce, record, redistribute, resell or share materials or account access with other learners, except where mandatory law permits it. For an eligible minor, the guardian creates one school account using the guardian’s email, with the learner identified accurately and the guardian recorded as purchaser. The named learner uses this account for learning, and the guardian may supervise. There is no separate guardian login, and this is not a family or multi-learner subscription.

The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.

3 Accuracy completeness and timeliness of information

We aim to describe our courses accurately. Course descriptions and other information forming part of your contract remain binding, subject to applicable law. Educational results depend on individual circumstances and effort; we do not promise a particular exam score, employment outcome or level of fluency unless expressly stated in the offer.

We may update general website information. Changes to purchased content and ongoing Services are subject to Sections 4 and 19 and your mandatory rights.

4 Modifications to the service and prices

Prices for new purchases may change. For an ongoing subscription, we may make a reasonable prospective price adjustment to reflect changes in applicable taxes, hosting or payment costs, licensing costs or the cost of providing the service, where permitted by law. We explain the reason and new price by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, or earlier where the law requires. The change will not increase the price of a period already paid for. You may cancel renewal before the new price applies. Where your express agreement is legally required, we obtain it before applying the change.

We may add, update, replace or withdraw courses and materials in the catalogue as our offering develops. During an existing subscription, changes must have a valid reason, such as correcting or improving teaching content, replacing outdated material, addressing licensing restrictions, or meeting legal, security or technical requirements. We will not charge extra for such changes within the agreed offering. For a change that negatively affects access or use beyond a minor degree, we give advance email notice explaining the change, its timing and your rights. You may terminate without charge within 30 days after the later of receiving that notice or the change taking effect, unless we let you retain the unchanged service without extra cost and it remains conforming. We refund prepaid amounts for the unused period following termination. Urgent lawful removals may take effect immediately where necessary, without removing applicable remedies. A particular course is not guaranteed to remain indefinitely; all mandatory notice, termination and refund rights remain unaffected.

5 Products and services

An active subscription gives the named learner access to all courses published in our school at the relevant time, including courses published during the subscription. Some courses contain prerecorded lessons; others consist of self-study books and related learning materials. English on the Go is book-based. All books are available for online use only. Access to a particular course lasts while it remains published and the subscription access period continues, subject to the change protections in Section 4. The catalogue and course descriptions identify the available content. Individual tuition, live teaching, marking and certificates are included only if expressly stated.

The subscription costs EUR 49.99 per month, inclusive of applicable VAT, and is charged in EUR. The total amount, included taxes, monthly renewal and cancellation terms are displayed before payment. The subscription renews monthly until cancelled, with no free trial or minimum commitment beyond the paid month. If your payment account uses another currency, your bank or payment provider may convert the EUR charge and apply its own exchange rate or fees; we do not set that conversion. Stripe handles payments and recurring billing and supports tax calculation, invoices, refunds and credit notes. We offer the school globally where lawful and supported by our payment and delivery providers.

You need an internet connection and an up-to-date browser on a compatible computer, tablet or smartphone. Books and lessons require online access; offline downloads are not offered. Any additional course-specific technical requirements and accessibility information are provided in the course description before purchase. Contact [email protected] for assistance with compatibility or accessibility. We supply the service as described and provide the remedies required by applicable consumer law if it is defective or not supplied.

6 Accuracy of billing and account information

Your purchase contract is formed when we accept your order and send your purchase confirmation. We may reject an order for an objective lawful reason before acceptance. If a payment is taken for an order we do not accept, it will be repaid. If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will inform you and provide the remedy required by law.

Please provide accurate billing and account information and keep it current. For a guardian-managed account, use the guardian’s email consistently at checkout and for the school login, identify the learner accurately and use the same account when returning. One account is for one named learner; another learner needs a separate subscription and unique account email. We use Thinkific for course delivery, Stripe for payments, recurring billing, tax calculation, invoices, refunds and credit notes, and Zapier for connected enrolment, access and customer-service workflows. Update payment details only through our authorised billing interface; never email full payment-card details.

6A Subscriptions cancellation and returning students

Subscriptions renew monthly at the agreed price until cancelled. The renewal date and next charge are shown in your purchase confirmation and billing information. If a month has no corresponding billing day, the billing system uses the last day of that month. There is no free trial or minimum commitment beyond the paid month.

You may cancel renewal at any time before the next renewal charge through the subscription-management option provided with your billing information, or by emailing [email protected]. An email cancellation is effective when received. Access continues until the end of the paid period, and no further renewal payment is taken after timely cancellation. We email confirmation. Cancelling renewal is separate from exercising the withdrawal option in Section 21.

If a renewal payment fails, we notify the purchaser by email and allow a grace period of 72 hours from the first unsuccessful payment attempt for that renewal invoice. The email states the course-access deadline and links to the invoice. Course access remains available during this grace period. We schedule up to three automatic payment retries, approximately 24, 48 and 72 hours after the first unsuccessful payment. Some declines prevent a further charge until payment details are updated or other required action is completed. You may review and pay the invoice through the authorised payment page.

Further payment attempts do not restart or extend the 72-hour grace period. If the renewal remains unpaid at the stated course-access deadline, the associated course access expires. If payment is still unsuccessful when the retry schedule ends, Stripe automatically cancels the subscription and future subscription renewals stop. Retry and cancellation processing times are approximate and may not coincide exactly with the course-access deadline. Updating payment details alone does not confirm payment; the payment must succeed. If your subscription has ended following unsuccessful collection, a new subscription purchase may be needed to resume access. Contact [email protected] if you have paid but cannot access your courses, or if you need help identifying the correct invoice before making another payment.

Returning students can sign in at https://courses.editasenglishhub.com and make a new subscription purchase using the existing account. Contact [email protected] if you need help reactivating access. An existing login alone does not restart billing. Access resumes after successful payment and order acceptance. Previous progress remains available only if it has not been deleted under the Privacy Policy. The guardian must authorise a new purchase for a minor learner.

7 Optional tools

No additional optional third-party learning tools are included at launch. If we introduce such tools, we will describe them and any separate terms before use, subject to the protections for changes to existing subscriptions.

New optional features do not change the price or essential terms of an existing purchase without a valid contractual and legal basis.

Our school may contain links to independent websites. Their operators are responsible for their own content and transactions. Please review their terms before using their services. This does not exclude our responsibility where the law makes us responsible for linked information or a service included in your purchase.

Questions about a separate third-party purchase can be directed to that provider. Questions about your purchase from us should be directed to us, even where a provider helps us deliver it.

9 User contributions and feedback

You retain ownership of your assignments, messages and other contributions. You grant us only the permission needed to host, display and use them to deliver the course or discussion feature you choose to use. We may consider voluntary suggestions to improve our Services without promising compensation, subject to your intellectual property and privacy rights.

We obtain separate permission before using your name, image, testimonial or logo for promotional purposes. For a minor, we also obtain appropriate guardian permission and respect the learner’s wishes.

Public learner communities, public discussions and learner-to-learner messaging are not offered at launch. We may remove unlawful or abusive submissions and explain moderation decisions where appropriate. You can ask [email protected] to review a moderation decision.

You are responsible for the contributions you submit. Do not post unlawful, abusive, infringing or misleading content, impersonate others, or upload malicious code. Respect other learners’ privacy. Our responsibility for handling content remains subject to applicable law.

10 Personal information

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information on our public website, school and connected withdrawal and customer-service workflows. You can request a copy from [email protected]. Marketing consent is separate from acceptance of these Terms.

11 Errors inaccuracies and omissions

We may correct typographical errors and outdated information. An error does not give us an unrestricted right to cancel an accepted order or change its agreed price. We will contact affected customers and resolve any material order error in accordance with applicable law.

We will provide information and updates required by law or our contract. A general website update does not by itself amend an existing purchase.

12 Prohibited uses

You are responsible for your conduct and activity when using the service. You must not:

  • use the service unlawfully; infringe intellectual property, confidentiality or privacy rights; harass or deceive others; submit false information; steal credentials; or compromise security;
  • copy, reproduce, record or redistribute protected course content or software, except where we authorise it or mandatory law permits it;
  • circumvent account, subscription or access restrictions;
  • sell, lend, transfer or share access with other learners; the authorised guardian arrangement in Sections 1 and 2 remains permitted;
  • upload malicious code or deliberately disrupt the service, including through overloading, spamming or interference with security controls;
  • submit sensitive personal information or payment credentials through assignments or other areas not intended for that purpose; or
  • use automated tools to copy content or monitor accounts without our permission, except where mandatory law permits it.

These Terms impose no separate numeric viewing or fair-use cap.

We may respond to prohibited use as described in Section 16. Mandatory legal exceptions to restrictions in this Section remain unaffected.

13 Service standards and liability

We aim to maintain reliable access, but occasional maintenance and outages may occur. For account, billing and course-access support, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within two business days, excluding Swedish public holidays. Teaching feedback or individual tuition is included only if expressly stated in the product description. We remain responsible for supplying the contracted Services and mandatory remedies.

We will not remove purchased access indefinitely or cancel it arbitrarily. Any suspension or discontinuation must have a lawful basis and respect the notice, refund and other rights that apply.

We do not exclude statutory guarantees or remedies for digital content and Services. Where the Services are defective, unavailable or not as agreed, your rights may include correction, price reduction, termination, repayment or damages, as applicable.

We are responsible for losses to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. These Terms impose no additional contractual damages cap.

If you buy as a consumer, these Terms do not reduce protections that are mandatory under the law applicable to your contract.

14 Indemnification

You are responsible for loss caused by your unlawful conduct or breach of these Terms only to the extent provided by applicable law. These Terms do not require you to provide an unlimited indemnity or fund our defence.

15 Severability

If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will not bind you to the extent required by law. The remaining Terms continue where they can do so lawfully. An unfair consumer term will not be rewritten to preserve an unlawful advantage.

16 Termination

Rights and obligations that by law or their nature continue after termination remain effective, including valid payment obligations, applicable content rights and statutory remedies.

Subscription cancellation is handled under Section 6A above. Stopping your studies or not logging in does not by itself cancel recurring payments. Closing an account and cancelling a subscription are separate actions; contact us if you need help doing both.

We may suspend or terminate access for a serious breach, fraud, a security threat or non-payment where lawful. We normally explain the reason and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it; urgent protective action may be taken when necessary. For a failed renewal payment, the 72-hour grace period and retry arrangements in Section 6A apply. Applicable refund and consumer rights remain protected.

17 Entire agreement

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms, together with the product description and information agreed at checkout, govern your purchase. They do not remove binding pre-contract information, representations on which the law permits you to rely, or mandatory rights.

Any ambiguity in a consumer term will be interpreted as required by applicable consumer law.

18 Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections that would otherwise apply. Nothing in these Terms restricts your right to bring proceedings before a court available to you under mandatory law.

19 Changes to terms of service

The current Terms are available with our school information and on request from [email protected].

Updated Terms apply to new purchases from their stated effective date. Changes to an ongoing subscription must have a valid legal and contractual basis, such as a change in applicable law, security requirements or the service changes described in Section 4. We give at least 30 days’ advance email notice of a material contractual change, or any longer notice required by law, explaining the change and applicable rights to reject it or terminate without penalty. Urgent changes required by law may take effect sooner where permitted. We obtain express agreement where required. Continued browsing alone is not acceptance of a change to an existing purchase.

21 Withdrawal refunds and complaints

You may withdraw from an initial subscription purchase, or a new purchase after a previous subscription has ended, within 14 days after the contract is concluded and receive a full refund of that purchase. This option is offered to customers worldwide even where local law provides less protection. Ordinary automatic monthly renewals do not restart this additional contractual option, but any mandatory local cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected. Longer statutory periods and remedies for defective or missing supply remain available where applicable.

How to withdraw

To withdraw, use our online withdrawal form, email a clear statement to [email protected], or send it to Docentvägen 461, 977 52 Luleå, Sweden, identifying yourself and the purchase. The online form and the model form below are optional. Sending a clear notice within the applicable withdrawal period is sufficient.

The online withdrawal form lets you identify yourself and the purchase, provide an acknowledgment email address, and confirm your withdrawal notice. It is available throughout the applicable withdrawal period. We send an email acknowledgment without undue delay, including the notice details and receipt date and time. This confirms receipt, not the outcome of our review. We check the relevant purchase and contact you about the refund. Review does not make a valid statutory withdrawal dependent on our discretion or extend the applicable refund deadline.

If the form is unavailable or you do not receive the acknowledgment, contact [email protected]. A missing acknowledgment does not invalidate a withdrawal notice properly sent in time.

Immediate access and withdrawal

We provide course access after successful payment and acceptance of your order. Starting a lesson or reading a book does not waive the 14-day withdrawal option described above. We do not deduct a usage charge from a refund made under that option.

If you withdraw from a purchase, we cancel that purchase, stop its future renewal payments and end the associated course access. Withdrawal from one purchase does not by itself cancel a separate valid purchase or entitlement. Cancellation and account-data deletion are separate processes; retention is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Repayment and complaints

For a valid withdrawal under the option above, we issue the full refund without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving the withdrawal notice, using the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise and without a refund fee. Mandatory faster or additional remedies remain unaffected. We send a refund confirmation and provide the relevant credit note where applicable.

Cancelling future renewal alone does not request a refund or automatically entitle you to repayment for a correctly supplied past period. Apart from the 14-day option above, we offer no additional satisfaction guarantee. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

For a problem with your course, contact [email protected] with your order details and a description of the issue. We will provide the remedy required by law. You may refer an eligible unresolved consumer dispute to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, Sweden, https://www.arn.se/. We follow ARN recommendations concerning our Services. This does not restrict access to a competent court or other mandatory local dispute routes.
